She said police were dispatched to Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus on Nov. 6, after emergency room doctors did X-rays on the baby and determined he had sustained a skull fracture. Mr. Hager, who was alone with the child before his hospitalization,HMMM SEEMS HES ALWAYS COOKING WHEN THINGS HAPPEN, WASN'T HE COOKING ALSO WHEN HIS HOUSE BURNED DOWN?INTERESTING initially told officers he had been cooking dinner when a cat hopped onto the back of his son's bouncy seat, "catapulting" the infant out of the chair and causing him to hit his head on a metal threshold on the floor,(SECOND LIE)Detective Meyers said. Emergency room doctors said Mr. Hager's story was inconsistent(AKA LYING) with the baby's injuries, the detective said, adding that upon further questioning,Mr. Hager said the baby had fallen on a stairwell. Cordova man charged with aggravated battery to baby

A Cordova man has been charged with aggravated battery to a child after he allegedly threw a 4-month-old boy onto a baby seat, causing the infant to hit his head on the floor.
John Harold Hager Jr., 30, of 1108 3rd St., Cordova, made an initial appearance on Sunday in Rock Island County Circuit Court. He remained in the Rock Island County Jail on Tuesday evening on a $100,000 bond, and is scheduled for a Nov. 20 preliminary hearing. The infant received medical care and is expected to recover, Rock Island County Sheriff Jeff Boyd said. The incident reportedly took place on Nov. 5 and Mr. Hager was arrested by police four days later, records indicate.

The mother of the child has made nemerouse statements there is nothing wrong with the baby I think this will come out be just blown out of proportion.
ReplyDeleteSo he was arrested for giggles?it said in the news, he did it 4 or 5 days before he was arrested,which means they were investigating it.Gathered there PC,then went to the States Attorneys Office to get the warrant.With there PC they got the warrant.So your saying that this is all just a mess up?$100,000 Bond seems like they know something you dont.But if there is anything wrong with the baby now or not, doesn't change the fact, he did abuse his own baby,i dont care if the baby had a scratch,you dont throw your own child.I have seen his anger, i have seen how he goes from normal to physco in 2 seconds.I know and so do others in CORDOVA,as the owners of the Store relayed to me there own story of dealing with him.

Fact-he was arrested for Agg Batt of a child.Fact-$100,000 bond.Fact,charged with Class X felony.Fact-child was injured according to my sources at the hospital.You have got to be either Julie hager, or Jessica Scranton.
I have been a baseball and soccer coach for 3 years now. 3 years of wich I have delt with John and his children, and the rest of his family. In those 3 years John was at almost every game and practice. I never once saw him mistreat those children in any way. He has always been a wonderful dad- for a long time a single dad. HE made sure his kids were well taken care of.. A bad decision was made. Those of us who have children know that sometimes we reach a breaking point. I do not in any way condone child abuse. Sometimes things happen before we have a chance to think about what we did, we are looking at the results. Im sure John thinks about what he did every single day. No matter how much people criticize, it is not going to take back what happened. I am dissapointed in myself for even feeding in to the bull shit on here. Every town has drama. I read an article about a guy last night that submurged his 2 year old in hot water burning his whole body. The boy had multiple skull fractures. What did he get? A class C felony. The 2 year old later died at the University of Iowa hospitals. Slap on the hand. And yet John is facing a class X felony?? Guess this day in age its all about who you are.. or who talks about you the most. Find a hobby Ray. The fact that you let Cordova consume your life is sad. Get a job and pay up that back child support your kids are waiting for.

ReplyDeleteMr Goose,thank you sir for the proof that you have posted here on this blog.I and my friends read this periodically,and find that you show documents,statements and board meeting minutes where your haters have shown there true nature.I do not know,nor i care to know what all happens in Cordova.I do know this,that MANY respected people,not the trouble makers that come to board meetings,that drive drunk in town, and that refuse to pay there own taxes like you said,these people read your blog, and are kept informed.For that we say Thank you.Now it seems that Mr Hager,has shown his real character.I know his mother,and she can be a tender and sweet lady.But after reading the meeting minutes, seeing how she criticized you and the other officer in regards to her son.Shows to me and others, she is not what she leads the citizens to think she is like.Keep it up, and i hope you reveal it all.

That poor child (and children?) had to see that rage that John showed the Cordova PD a couple years back? Clearly we can see by this in cident alone that those officers had every right to be upset with the garbage being said and published about them. Good careers are ruined because of the mentality of a few. I mean, really, the cat "Cat"apaulted the baby out of the chair? Seems there is a serious history of lying by this gentelman readers, the shall we say educated and in telligent folks in town can see it.
ReplyDeleteI went to High School with John, he is a compulsive liar, drug addict and has a severe anger problem. I have no doubt that he snaps on his children and hurts them. I had my bad times in and after high school as well where I fell in with the wrong crowd and have first hand seen and *sadly* taken part in the drug use with him and seen his reactions to "cocaine" specifically. I've been clean for years now myself. He is an angry self-hating drug abuser and while his mother and sister are just buying into his stories they are enabling him to continue with his downward spiral. I hope he gets the help he needs and the children are found safe homes away from a family that enables him.
ReplyDeleteAnon, i agree to the anger issue.Also the drugs are also evident.The night i arrested him,he was peppered sprayed in the face.Now i have oc,ed lot of subjects, and there is always a physical reaction,(RUNNING NOSE,SNOT POURING FROM THE NOSE, EYES WATERING,COUGHING,SEVERE DISCOMFORT,ETC) the night of Jan 1,2011,he displayed NO, I REPEAT,NO,Reaction at all.From the time of the incident,to the 30 min ride to jail,he did not seemed bothered by the oc. why?he was under the influence of drugs.
